Act 1
INT. HOME - DAY
Sitting with the PACK LEADER on a sofa, KAJI sees Peter approaching.
KAJI (V.O.): Judging from his lip movements, he's saying "Kai Kai". I'm excited!
Kaji leaves the sofa to run around Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Peter's cue lets me believe I'm into something good.
Kaji circles Peter a few more times.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm anticipating fun activities soon.
Kaji takes a look of the Pack Leader.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm feeling some unease as the Pack Leader remains sitting.
As Kaji goes to her carrier cart, the Pack Leader gets up and Peter puts Kaji inside it.
PETER: Fly.
Act 2
EXT. PAVEMENT - LATER
As the Pack Leader puts Kaji onto it from the carrier cart, Peter says "Fly" again.
KAJI (V.O.): I guess "fly" means moving through the air.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can move without lifting and settling down each foot in turn on the ground.
Walking past a tree, Kaji sees birds flying up from the ground to the branches.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): So they can also fly.
EXT. PARADISE LOST - LATER
Leading the Pack Leader and Peter, Kaji stops at the blocked entrance.
KAJI (V.O.): I'm sure the entrance was here.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): As I can't get inside anymore, I still want to mark my former garden.
Kaji pees without hesitation.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me take them to the promenade.
EXT. PROMENADE - LATER
Arriving, Kaji pees at will.
KAJI (V.O.): Those are my "I was here" graffiti.
Then, Kaji finds a green spot to get light.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've to settle for the second best now.
Having walked past a fountain, Kaji sees a few birds gathering on a stand amid a group of PEOPLE.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why wouldn't they fly away?
Observing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, their legs are chained.
Kaji takes a look of her leash.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): In my former garden, I could go here and there without the leash.
Later, they arrive at a special garden. As the Pack Leader takes off Kaji's leash and Kaji finds herself sitting inside a circled opening, we hear Peter saying "Fly" again.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): So I fly again.
The Pack Leader and Peter begin to point their handheld device at Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They always like to point their things at me.
Smiling
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Anyhow, they don't seem to be angry with me anymore.
FLASHBACK
INT. BEDROOM - THE NIGHT BEFORE
A GANG MEMBER is about to go to bed with Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.): The Pack Leader and Peter aren't home. How come the gang member would take our bed?
Kaji then pees in bed.
END FLASHBACK
Act 3
EXT. STREETS - LATER
Kaji, the Pack Leader and Peter leave the promenade.
KAJI (V.O.): My peeing in bed didn't determine where I could go or fly now.
Leading the Pack Leader and Peter, Kaji finds her way.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It only determines where I start. Let me explore something new.
Kaji quickens her pace.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): And the important step is to begin.
