EXT. PROMENADE - NIGHT
Pop-up stalls. Crowded. KAJI follows the PACK LEADER.
KAJI (V.O.): Somehow, Peter didn't walk with us.
Walking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He didn't join us the last time.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But we can't wait to come here.
We see the Pack Leader talking to someone over the smartphone.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Is Peter walking here alone? How can he find us?
Act 2
EXT. PROMENADE - CONTINUOUS
Having walked past a section of pop-up stalls, they reach another section.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Here is like a market place now.
PEOPLE ahead block Kaji's way.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): There're so many activities here.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can smell food all over the place.
Kaji sees some STRANGERS and their MASTERS walking by.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's better than seeing no one.
Recalling.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since the lost of my paradise, I don't know where have all my friends gone.
MONTAGE OF KAJI'S TIME IN HER PARADISE
A. Kaji is greeted by her FRIENDS.
B. Kaji goes to her favourite spots.
C. Kaji walks alone, without a leach.
END MONTAGE
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's better to walk alone than with a crowd going in the wrong direction.
Then, the strangers approach Kaji from the rear.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm not scared.
MASTERS: This shiba inu is very calm.
Then, they part in different directions.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm just worried about Peter.
Peter appears.
PACK LEADER: Where have you been?
PETER: I walked past here earlier but I couldn't spot you and our pet.
KAJI (V.O.): He walks alone and has no sense of direction.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But it's alright now, I'm here.
The Pack Leader passes the leash to Peter.
PACK LEADER: I want to buy something. The stalls are closing soon.
The pack leader then walks ahead alone, leaving Kaji and Peter behind.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The day is hot and the walk is long.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The collar and the leash I'm wearing have become more uncomfortable.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't want to walk anymore.
Peter is waiting for Kaji to make a move.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'll just let him wait.
Act 3
EXT. PROMENADE - CONTINUOUS
Kaji and Peter are staying put.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I know the hardest part is walking alone.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Perhaps, I'd walk on, supporting Peter with love in my heart.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Peter, no matter how the road ahead is, you'll never walk alone.
Kaji walks Peter again.
