PETER (V.O): Inside the bag are my Korean textbook and worksheets.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Having done a quiz a fortnight ago, I'll have to take a second oral exam next week.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Moreover, another quiz is coming up; and I've to write an essay in Korean.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Can I keep pace with the tempo?
From the radio, we hear the Byrds singing"...Turn! Turn! Turn!"
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. LIVING ROOM - 09:30 (Today)
Peter sees an incoming WhatsApp message.
PETER (V.O): It's from one of our M7 members.
Peter checks it.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Oh, Maurice has changed his job...
Peter looks surprised.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Over 15 years ago, seven like-minded CEOs gathered together and met monthly after work.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I was the eldest among them and coined our group the "M7" (Magnificent Seven).
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Soon, a member became inactive. So, the actual label should be "M7-1"
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Years later, we met irregularly, and gradually, infrequently.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I thought I was the first to retire, but a member jumped the gun.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): For members who are still working, none of us are doing the same job now.
Typing on screen.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Anyhow, I'll continue to support Maurice in ways I can.
Having sent his reaction, Peter taps the Duolingo app and practises foreign languages.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd first complete my daily quest in French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.
Practising.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And then, I'll focus on Korean. My wife and I have a Korean class to attend tonight.
INT. CHILL VIETNAM, D2 PLACE - 17:30
A very nice restaurant. Peter and WIFE are having a meal.
PETER: We're rewarding ourselves first before the hard work ahead.
PETER (V.O.): Since mid-April this year, we've been having good times like this.
INT. HKUSPACE - 18:40
Foyer. Showing their student cards, Peter and his wife enter the lift lobby.
PETER (V.O.): I might well be the oldest student here.
Lecture room. Sitting among a group of young STUDENTS, Peter observes their responses to the lecture admirably.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They pick up the teacher's knowledge transfer much faster than me.
Observing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Before I can understand the grammar, they've already got the answers.
Peter is striving to type Korean on screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And before I finish my typing, they've already submitted their answers to the studying chatgroup so that all can see.

INT. STUDY - CONTINUOUS
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Keeping Pace" to a draft.
PETER (V.O): Change is part of the natural cycle of life.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'd keep pace with it by rolling with the changes.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Making adaptive changes with the pace around me, I continue to live authentically.
