Act 1
INT. STUDIO - 10:30
Smartphone in hand, PETER is searching for flights..
PETER (V.O.): Yesterday, I found flights to Sapporo at reasonable prices.
Checking.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): But today, the fares of the same flights have gone up by over 10%.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I won't yield to airlines' dramatic pricing now. I just want to see the Sapporo Snow Festival 2024.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): In Feb this year, I managed to do last-minute bookings to see the 2023 one.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I believe I can find my lost flight fares later.
Act 2
MONTAGE OF PETER'S SWIMMNIG IN THE GOLDEN BAY
A. Face down in the water with rhythmic head-ups, Peter swims along the buoy line at the edge of the swimming area.
B. Making a turn with legs fluttering beneath the water, Peter swims across the buoy line from one corner to another.
C. Transiting into freestyle, Peter then swims diagonally back to his starting point.
END MONTAGE
Picking up his belongings on the beach, Peter checks the time with his smartphone.
PETER (V.O.): If there're floating platforms here, I won't swim non-stop for an hour.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've paid just for an hour's parking at the metered car park.
We see Peter rushing to the bathroom, then coming out from the changing room and then walking quickly towards the car park.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's nice that I don't see any traffic police car in the car park.
Immediately, Peter slows down to take a photo of the Golden Beach.
EXT. PETER'S NT HOME - 13:45
Carport. As Peter starts his SMART car, we hear the engine firing.
PETER (V.O.): Good, I worry that its old battery might have gone dead as it hasn't been charged for nearly a fortnight.
Peter then goes to start his Nissan 200SX. We hear no sound.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh! I had its battery replaced just two months ago!
Peter then uses a jump-starter to start up the car.
EXT. ESTATE ROAD - 14:30
Changing gears from time to time, Peter cycles leisurely towards a mall.
PETER (V.O.): I'm thirsty and hungry.
INT. LAKESIDE RESTAURANT - 14:45
Small but cosy. Peter is finishing his tea set as a WOMAN appears.
WOMAN (to the MANAGER nearby): I want a part-time job in washing dishes.
PETER (V.O.): I'm quite sure she'll be hired.
As Peter is about to leave, he searches all his pockets.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Where's my Octopus card?
Noticing Peter's awkward demeanour, a STAFF helps him find it.
STAFF: There's nothing in the chair or on the floor...
PETER: I may have lost it elsewhere...
Peter takes out a second Octopus card from his wallet.
PETER (V.O.): I don't have to wash dishes yet. But where have I lost my first one?
EXT. ESTATE ROAD - CONTINUOUS
We see Peter retracing his cycling route.
PETER (V.O.): No. There's nothing on the ground.
EXT. PETER'S NT HOME - CONTINUOUS
Entering the front garden, Peter sees nothing on the grass.
Act 3
INT. STUDIO - 22:30
Working before a laptop, Peter is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.): In my life, I've lost a lot and found a lot - I was absent-minded and mislaid my first Octopus card on a desk in the sitting room.
Typing natural language in his smartphone, Peter instructs his 文心一言 assistant.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): See if she can depict "the emotions of loss and found"
As he sees an impressionistic AI drawing appearing on screen, Peter nods.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If there's no lost first, the finding wouldn't be dramatic.
