Background classical music. PETER types on his laptop, the screen casting a gentle light on his nostalgic and focused expression.
PETER (V.O): As the clock inches closer to midnight, I find myself wandering through memories.
FLASHBACK
INT. TUNG WAH HOSPITAL - 12:30 (Today)
Standing on one side of Alfred's bed, Peter talks to ALFRED as Alfred's WIFE prepares to serve him food.
PETER: Today is New Year's Eve.
Gazing at Peter, Alfred is puzzled.
ALFRED'S WIFE: Having been hospitalized for a long time, he has no sense of what day is it?
Peter takes a deep breath.
PETER (V.O): Days have blurred into one another - meals. medications, and fleeting visits of those who care.
Act 2
EXT. HOLLYWOOD ROAD - 13:15
Strolling along it, Peter is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O): The primary school I attended in 1960 was adjacent to the Man Mo Temple.
Soon, Peter sees lots of TOURISTS visiting Man Mo Temple.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): It's good that tourists are returning to Hong Kong.
Then, Peter sees a construction site adjacent to the Temple.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): OMG, the Tung Wah Primary School is gone!
MONTAGE RELATING TO PETER'S SCHOOLING IN 1960
A. Classroom. Peter (5) chats with a CLASSMATE (6) at recess.
B. Office. Peter's DAD (27) is explaining to Ms TANG (20s) that Peter has to quit as the family is moving to NT.
END MONTAGE
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I can still remember the looks of my classmate and Ms Tang then.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And I can still remember the melody and the lyrics of the school song.
Peter walks past shopfronts.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): There was a coffee shop near here...and I had my first taste of...
MONTAGE RELATING TO PETER'S FIRST EXPERIENCE
A. Coffee shop. Peter's Dad bought Peter a minced beef bun.
B. Coffee shop. Peter savours a cup of coffee with his Dad.

INT. DINING ROOM - 21:30
Desserts on the table. Peter, his WIFE, SON#1, DAUGHTER-IN-LAW and SON#2 share stories.
PETER: For the past two days, I attended a funeral service. A good friend Sam died suddenly.
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): During an after-service meal, I learned from others that Tony was knocked down by a truck years ago, his family chose to save him even though he would lapse into a vegetative state.
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): Tony died naturally years later.
SON#2: As a junior doctor in Australia, I'd a special assignment to witness a senior doctor administering euthanasia.
All listen solemnly.
SON#2 (Cont'd): The terminally ill Cantonese-speaking patient wanted euthanasia. I facilitated the communications, expecially his wish to die on a July date at around 3pm.
PETER: Good job son...Could his family act against his will?
SON#2: No, as he was lucid... he said all his last words before time...he was calm throughout.
DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: The incurable sufferer wanted to die with dignity...How long was the administration process?
SON#2: From 3:22pm to 3:26pm.
WIFE: Describe the senior doctor's reaction when he finalized a story in a peaceful way...
SON#3: He put the syringes back into a box and left.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled: "Memories at Twilight...." to a draft in his laptop.
PETER (V.O): In the fading light, the past, present and future dance together.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Through the corridors of time, I search for my lost and new-found moments intentionally.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): In the twilight of my life, I cherish the simple yet profound aspects of existence, particularly the echoes of love.
