In bed, KAJI, the family pet, is licking Peter's nose.
PETER (V.O.): Yes, that's a better way than barking at me.
Peter does his morning routines.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Today, I've two HKUST Committee meetings to attend.
Grabbing his smart phone, Peter checks the App "MyObservatory".
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If it's cool, I'll wear a beanie hat.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It hides my white hair.
Smiling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Not sure if I'd look cool.
Act 2
EXT. CHEUNG KONG PARK, CENTRAL - 09:45
Heading in the direction of the Hong Kong Club building, Peter sees a cascade on the side.
PETER (V.O.): I like the imagination projected onto water and rock in the urban context.
Peter stops to take a photo of it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In my early 20s, I wanted to uplift myself to become a professionaI. I thought about to become a landscape architect.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was living in the NT, landscape architecture was like gardening to me.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To make human architecture part of the natural landscape requires higher level of skill and judgment though.
INT. MEETING ROOM, HK CLUB BUILDING - 10.00
HKUST COMMITTEE#1 is transacting its business.
PETER (V.O.): There're a couple of architects and engineers here.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Just then, I've made a wild suggestion to create possible value in future.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Two days ago, I got information that the Civil Aviation Administration of China had issued a special flight permit for the XPeng X2 - a flying car model.
The meeting ends at 12:40.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My next HKUST Committee meeting will begin at 14:00.
INT. MEETING ROOM, HK CLUB BUILDING - 14:00
HKUST COMMITTEE#2 is transacting its business.
PETER (V.O.): The presenters and many of their team members have PhDs in science and technology from prestigious universities.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't even have one in arts or in law from any university.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I did consider the possibility after getting my 1st BA and my 2nd LLM.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But life is like a cascade - always moving but the flow can be uneven.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Upon retirement, I did consider reviving the idea.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): All factors considered, I've accepted that life doesn't flow backwards.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Instead of developing a thesis for years for the sake of the degree, I prefer writing and publishing on topics that I love.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, I can't cascade the exciting information I'm getting right now, as I've to keep them in confidence.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 22:00
Peter checks a cascade image on his phone screen.
PETER (V.O.): Any cascade can't be silent.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As an old man, when I speak, I sometimes feel my voice of power.
Smiling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, go wherever and do whatever I feel most alive.
We see Kaji getting onto the bed.
