PETER (V.O.): Today's Valentine's Day.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday, I bought the rose and hided it in my studio.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In fact, there's nothing to hide. My wife expects to receive a rose from me today.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe one rose says more than a dozen.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We don't dine out on any week day as my wife works late.
Act 2
INT. COUNCIL FLOOR, HKUST - 09:15
Peter exchanges greetings with COLLEAGUE#1.
PETER (V.O.): My elder daughter is coming home this Friday and my family will reunite for the first time in Hong Kong since 2019.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The window of opportunity isn't big as my younger son will resume his studies in Australia soon.
Peter exchanges greetings with COLLEAGUE#1.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My elder daughter's Korean boyfriend will also come to Hong Kong for a few days.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): After that, my elder daughter's Hokkaido classmate in Seoul National U will visit Hong Kong for a few days.
Peter exchanges greetings with COLLEAGUE#2.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): She recommended nice Sapporo restaurants, and my younger son and I went last week.
Peter exchanges greetings with COLLEAGUE#3.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My family is looking forward to receiving them.
At a reception corner, Peter is served with dim-sums and coffee.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our guests yearn to see the Victoria Harbour and Wong Tai Sin, try Dim-sums, Roast Duck...and get in touch with Kaji, our family pet!

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My wife is anxious to showcase her cooking skills at home.
Peter enters the Council Chambers.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While my elder daughter communicates with her friends in Japanese, my younger daughter and younger son are also good in Japanese.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I should try to learn some Japanese and Korean as well.
EXT. ATRIUM, HKUST - 13:00
Sitting in a bench, Peter is having screen time.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, the professional business email I'm expecting has gone to the junk box!
Having typed his reply on the phone, Peter is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've written a song in Cantonese called "Cupid".
Peter finds his MV on YouTube and watches it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The lyrics are my voice of love.
Listening again.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know how it feels when struck by Cupid's arrows.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Especially when the arrow is the sharp and so the love is deep.
Watching again.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The video clips documented what the Hokkaido in early Feb 2020 when the pandemic had just begun.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was in love with snowy places. I travelled far enough to find myself.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 20:30
Via his smart phone, Peter copies the link of his MV entitled "Cupid" and pastes it in a draft text.
PETER (V.O.): Cupid is a messenger of love. My family is expanding lovingly.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Love looks not only with the eyes, but with the mind too. Love also gives us wings.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): A man can love many women, but a real man can love one woman in many ways.
From the radio, we hear an anchor remarking: Happy Valentine's Day to you!
