INT. LIVING ROOM - 10:00
Sitting before a piano, PETER's fingers hover over the keys.
PETER (V.O.): I'm focusing myself in the present moment.
Peter plays the notes of chords one after the other.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Yes, that's what I like and can do.
When Peter plays the notes in different order, we hear a different but harmonic sound.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): It sounds like the hook of a popular oldie.
When Peter plays the space-out notes of a chord with a non-chord add-on note, we hear a more airy sound.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): It does sound better.
Peter doesn't play continuously all the time.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): To have the relaxing effect, I need to give space for the notes to breathe.
Act 2
EXT. KOWLOON PARK - 13:15
Walking past roadside car parks, Peter notices some cars are being charged electrically.
PETER (V.O.): Good facilities for the designated car park licensees.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): When I first joined the Intellectual Property Dept, it was in one of the rented floor at the Ocean Centre.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Only the departmental car "AM 71" could park there. Renting one was expensive.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): My kind boss was so resourceful that I could get a Kowloon Park parking label.
FLASHBACK
INT. TMK FUNK & ROLLS - DAY (Last Tuesday)
Over lunch, Peter and his friend DORA chat.
DORA: How did you come to know your wife?
PETER: Oh, she was my Dept's secretary.

PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I haven't told Dora that my future wife came to know me by reading my boss' appraisal of me.
Smiling.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): During courtship, I offered myself as her driver.

A. Morning. Getting off a red coupe are Peter (39) and his pretty future WIFE, they take each other's hands and begin to walk together towards the Ocean Centre.
B. Evening. Walking side by side with their hands intertwined, Peter and his pretty future wife's synchronized movement create an emotional rhythm.

Arriving at the Park's swimming pool, Peter sees a STAFF stationing at a blocked entrance.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I've checked that the cleansing day isn't today.
STAFF: A school has hired the pool for a swimming gala.
Sitting on a bench, Peter researches with his mobile.
PETER (V.O.): I've had too much seat time. Let me go to the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Swimming Pool.
EXT. SAI YING PUN - 14:00
Coming out from exit A2, Peter sees many shops selling Chinese gourmets.
FLASHBACK
INT. LING YEUNG TERRACE, BONHAM ROAD - NIGHT (1978)
Subdivided cubicles. Peter (24) chats with LAWRENCE (25), a roommate.
PETER: ...You studied comparative literature at HKU... How can you start up a business in trading seafood?
LAWRENCE: To get the knowhow, I've been reaching out people in the trade. Early tomorrow morning, I'll go to tea houses in Sai Ying Pun again. Goodnight.
RETURN TO PRESENT
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Lawrence died a billionaire in Macau on Dec 27, 2022.
Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - 22:30
Working on a laptop, Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Notes of Yesterday" into a draft.
PETER (V.O): Memories connect nostalgically. I mustn't let yesterday take up too much of today. I swam non-stop for an hour today.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Embracing change and development, my everyday objective is do better than yesterday.
Peter takes a look the piano near him.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): If today I'm a bit better than I was yesterday, I should be content.
