PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): With trust, communication is easy and efficient.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Hours ago, I asked HKUST colleagues to facilitate and they've got it done.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My practice is to act timely and my colleagues reciprocate the same.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's interesting that Henry would come to me first.

FLASHBACK
INT. HKUST - DAY (Months ago)
Council chambers. Peter is watching HENRY (20) making an intervention.
PETER (V.O.): This elected student Council Member has good sense.
Later at the foyer, Peter chats with Henry.
PETER: You play your role well.
HENRY: I reflect my peer's perspective.
PETER: What distinguishes HKUST from other universities is its entrepreneurial spirit.
HENRY: Yes.
PETER: You may wish to help sustain that with your peers.
EXT. ROADS TO & FROM HKUST (GZ) - DAY/NIGHT (April 27, 2023)
Inside a coach to Nansha, Henry chats with Peter.
HENRY: My partners and I have come up with a business case...
PETER: Good, HKUST will host a Unicorn Day in May. Your team should learn from the unicorns and refine the business model.
HENRY: Yes.
PETER: Sitting at the back of the coach is a successful entrepreneur. You should interact with him to learn about financials.
Inside a coach from Nansha, Peter sees Henry talking to the ENTREPRENEUR.
EXT. BUS - 21:30
Sitting on the upper deck, Peter checks WhatsApp messages.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, the HKUST Council Secretariat has sent me a message at 17:02 that Henry wanted to talk to me...
Peter types on screen: I was speaking and dining in a function...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): A mystery is still bothering me...
MONTAGE OF PETER'S MYSTERY
A. Peter places a souvenir certificate on a seat designated for him.
B. Peter goes to the washroom.
C. Returning, Peter sees that the souvenir certificate is no longer there.
D. Checking the floor nearby, Peter finds nothing.
E. Dinner begins and ends. Peter checks his spot again before leaving.
END MONTAGE
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I dropped my name tag earlier, someone brought it back to me.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): So I trust that if anyone has sight of the certificate souvenir, s/he will bring it back to me.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've lots of speaking souvenirs at home. I haven't decided how to dispose of them.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd be gratified if somebody would like to keep my certificate souvenir as his/her souvenir.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Any relationship, whether personal or business, is based on trust.

PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Trust is not a means to an end but is based on character and integrity.

PETER (V.O.): I believe trust is built by small actions over time. To be trusted is a great compliment.
