  6. Smiling, PETER enters with a lightness in his step.


  7. MONTAGE OF WHAT PETER HAS DONE


  8. A. Car repairer -11.00. Peter deposits a Beetle to have it serviced.


  9. B. Smartphone repairer -12:30. Peter deposits a smartphone to fix its broken glass, malfunctioned camera and bad battery.


  10. C. Car-testing centre - 14:00. Getting a roadworthy certificate, Peter drives away the Beetle satisfactorily.


  11. D. Smartphone repairer - 15:00. Delightedly, Peter gets back his smartphone which looks like brand new.


  12. E. Silverstrand Bay - 16:30. Peter is swimming in the calm waters blissfully.

  14. PETER (V.O): What a day it's been...But I haven't finished practising all the seven languages I've been learning.

  18. INT. LIVING ROOM - 17:30

  20. A Korean drama is being shown on TV. Peter's WIFE immerces herself in it. Peter appears.


  21. PETER: Are you hungry?


  22. WIFE: No...


  23. Getting some barbarcue fish from the fridge, Peter joins his wife.


  24. PETER (V.O): We try to follow the Korean dialogues...


  25. Watching.

  27. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): But I can pick up very few words and phrases...


  28. INT. BEDROOM - 18:00


  29. Smartphone in hand, Peter follows Duolingo lessons, uttering words an phrases in Korean, Italian, Portugese and German.


  30. PETER (V.O): I began the first lesson in April this year, and now I've reached my 200-day streaks.


  31. FLASHBACK


  32. INT. GALLERY, FOUR SEASONS HOTEL - 12:30 (14 Nov, 2024)


  33. Over lunch, Peter introduces himself to a LADY sitting ext to him. He gets her namecard.


  34. PETER: Ah, you're responsible for education matters in UK...In 1985, I took the initiative and was the first to get a full legal scholarship from your institution to study in UK.


  35. Later, when food is put on the table, Peter prepares to take photos of it alongside the GUESTS at his table.


  36. PETER (Cont'd): I write and publish reviews with feature photos on Google Maps.


  37. Tapping Google Maps, Peter shows the statistics under his profile.


  38. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I began doing that in 2017, and now, I've accummulated over 119 million views.


  39. EXT. ROADS TO HKUST - 14:00


  40. Wet. At the back seat of a chaffuer-driven car, Peter is chatteing with Professor LANGER.


  41. PETER: Professor, have you heard of a Chinese saying: "Whenever a dignitary goes out, it always rains".


  42. PROFESSOR: Yes, six to seven times...Is the saying: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" Chinese?


  43. PETER: Yes.


  44. PROFESSOR: I really like it...Innovation is like that...


  45. INT. DINING ROOM - 20:30


  46. Waiting for his wife at the dining table, Peter reads a Facebook feed.


  47. PETER (V.O): The longest walkable journey is from Cape Town, South Africa, to Magadan, Russia.

  49. Peter reads Comments: ...The longest one is from Argentina to Alaska...


  50. Peter taps Google Maps to check the land routes.


  51. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): It seems they're similar in distance. But who would walk them for no particular reason?

  53. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I always admire Marco Polo's epic land journey from Venice to China in the 13th C.

  57. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Although he wasn't the first European to reach China, he was the first to chronicle his experience.

  59. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The longest land journey I walked, at 17, was just the untrodden coastal route from San Hui - Lung Kwun Tan - Black Point to Lau Fau Shan.

  68. PETER (V.O): Taking initiatives in pusuing goals is important. All it takes is one step.

  70. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): While every major achievement starts with a small action, relentless execution to keep up the momentum is essential.

  74. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): At my age, I don't think I'd I walk lengthy journeys, but I'd continue to walk the intellectual ones in my creative ways.
