Waking up, PETER checks the time. It's 04:45.
PETER (V.O.): I don't have to appear in court. But I don't sleep well.
Sleeping closer to KAJI, the family pet, Peter is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Should I resume designing my action plan on IP Trading?
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): If I begin working now, I'll become tired during the day, wasting time capital.
Relaxing.
PETER (Cont'd): Let me stop thinking and see if I could sleep again.
Peter sleeps on the side.
Act 2
INT. STUDY - MORNING
Peter is checking Quora notifications on his smartphone screen.
PETER (V.O.): Everyday, some Quorans would share some of my answers in their Spaces.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I'd re-read those answers to see how good they're.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): My answers are short no matter how complicated are the questions.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I'd feature a photo that is worth 1000 words.
Peter selects an image from his Photos App.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): And everyday, I'd get around a dozen new answer requests from fans or strangers.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I'd respond promptly to those that I can deliver value off-the-cuff.
Typing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): As to the rest, I'd research and analyse before responding with my thesis.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I enjoy doing that. Not only I can help others, I also learn something in the process.
INT. DINING ROOM - AFTERNOON
Peter and his WIFE are having lunch. The TV reports pandemic news.
PETER: Oh, any other record high in Hong Kong...
PETER (Cont'd): I feel very sad that kids would also die...
PETER: The situation in South Korea is bad; and Japan isn't good either.
PETER (V.O.): I also care about the well-beings of a very nice Korean young man and our elder daughter in Japan.
INT. STUDIO - LATE AFTERNOON
Peter is tidying stuff and re-arranging his guitars in a corner.
PETER (V.O.): I try this and that, making it cosy to me.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I haven't left home for several days already.
Having lined up his electric guitars, Peter picks up a Martin backpacker acoustic guitar.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I've too many guitars in this corner.
INT. KITCHEN - LATER
Peter is playing fingering with his Martin backpacker.
PETER (V.O.): I first played this guitar in one of my university lectures, entertaining early birds. Those were the days.
Playing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd):Am I shaking my pandemic blues now?
INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT
Peter and his wife are having dinner.
WIFE: A young woman who has just given birth to her child is now in critical condition.
PETER: Because of COVID-19 infection?
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Background easy-listening music.
PETER (V.O.): I've beefed up my action plan on IP Trading.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): But it's nothing when compared to the pandemic relief project underway.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): But I'd maintain a relationship with what and who I value the most.
Pondering.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): In time, our pandemic blues will fade.
