INT. BEDROOM - 10:00
Appearing, PETER hears mobile alarm. Softly, he speaks to his sleeping WIFE.
PETER: Darling, do you have an early appointment?
WIFE: Yes, I've a lunch appointment. The Indian Consulate is playing host...
PETER: Haven't you retired?
WIFE: Well, I did years of preparatory work that led to the successful repatriation of an Indian national recently.
As his wife stops the alarm, Peter lets her sleep a bit more.
PETER (V.O): Yesterday, I got the link to the materials of my new assignment. But I was engaged in my creative work. I'd better browse through them now.
Sitting by the bed, Peter opens a laptop, downloads files and begins to browse.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My new assignment is complicated. I'll strive to meet my target deadline.
Act 2
EXT. SILVERSTRAND BAY - 14:00
Peter swims rather quicky along the orange buoy line.
PETER (V.O): The trilingual tune I shared with my classmates last night was a harmonic one.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The Korean lyrics rhyme with the Cantonese ones...
Swimming.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): At 4pm today, my wife and I will visit a potential venue for our elder daughter's wedding banquet in Hong Kong.
Swimming faster.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): But I want to have Wonton Noodles and Red Bean Ice before that.
EXT. MTR CABIN - 15:45
Standing, Peter types on his mobile: I'm still in Causeway Bay. You go to the hotel in Wanchai first...Then, Peter reads the response.
PETER (V.O): You're about to arrive Admiralty?
MONTAGE
Hotel#1 lobby. Peter and STAFF#1 wait for the arrival of Peter's wife.
Hotel#1 function room. Guided by the staff, they inspect the space and the facilities.
END MONTAGE
INT. LANHAM PLACE - 17:30
Peter and his wife appear. The name of a restaurant gets Peter's attention.
PETER: See, Hokkaido Soup Curry...
Recalling.
PETER (Cont'd): Years ago, our daughter's classmate from Hokkaido recommended Hokkaido Soup Curry to us...
Recalling.
PETER (Cont'd): In 2022, our younger son and I did go to the soup curry store. But we didn't want to waste time to queue for a table.
PETER (Cont'd): When we were in Hokkaido weeks ago, you preferred to have a crab meal in Sapporo...We must try this one.
WIFE: Perhaps after our second site visit today.
MONTAGE
Hotel#2 function room. Guided by STAFF#2, they inspect the space and the facilities.
Hotel#2 wedding banquet meeting room. Staff#2 has further discussions with Peter and his wife.
END MONTAGE
INT. RESTAURANT - 19:45
Peter and his wife are having Hokkaido soup curry.
PETER: Initially, the hotel staff was under the impression that we're about to get married!
Laughter.
PETER(Cont'd): By the way, I thought you'd be early for the 4pm appointment...
WIFE: After lunch, I went to my jeweler to collect something...Remind me when did we take the Korean exam?
PETER: Just four days ago...
WIFE: I feel it has long passed as I've done so many things...
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 22:00
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Reflections in Harmony..." to a draft in his laptop.
PETER (V.O): Both my wife and I like reflections. While I love those in the sea water, she loves those from the jewellery.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My wife and I are in harmony as we've shared family goals and support each other to accomplish them.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Strive for balance. Life is beautiful when its parts are in harmony.
