Sunlight filters through the window, casting a warm glow on PETER's face.
PETER (V.O.): I want to document a story about my elder son.
FLASHBACK
INT. HOME - SUNDAY (1999)
Holding a video game controller, SON (10) speaks to Peter (45) seriously.
SON: I don't want to go to school anymore. I just want to play video games at home.
PETER (V.O.): OMG, I've just got a day to resolve this crisis.
END FLASHBACK
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): With right strategy, quick execution and great luck, my son returned to school the next day. Otherwise, he can't be a professional now.
Act 2
EXT. CAR PARK, GOLDEN BAY - 13:30
Having just parked his signal-red Nissan 200SX, Peter sees a MAN (40s) approaching him.
MAN: Uncle, your car was my dream car!
PETER: You've good taste. Thank you for your appreciation. It's made in 1989.
MAN: Is that right? Over 30 years old now...
Nodding, Peter walks towards the beach.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): A shared love for a particular car model can spark a conversation between individuals. This isn't the first time.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.): Except my family members, others didn't know I mortgaged my apartment to make my dream come true in 1989!
EXT. BEACH, GOLDEN BAY - CONTINUOUS
Putting down his belongings, Peter lies on the sand.
PETER (V.O.): When I was working as a Land Executive in the Tuen Mun District Land Office in 1980, I read about the Bay project.
Peter presses his fingers into the soft grains of sand.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): The sand was moved here.
Peter dips his fingers deeper into the sand.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): It's my way to massage my fingers. I've been holding my smartphones in an awkward position.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I don't know if any of my former colleagues would enjoy the facilities here like me.
Peter then swims in the crystal-clear waters.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Swimming here triggers my nostalgic memories of the past.
Swimming to one outer corner.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): When there wasn't the Golden Bay, I went to the Castle Peak Bay, the Kadoorie Bay and the Cafeteria Bay in the 1960s.
INT. PETER'S NT HOME - 18:30
Peter gets a garbage bag.
PETER (V.O.): Time to declutter.
Opening a box filled with old Christmas cards, Peter checks the messages inside.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Very nice ones.
We see a bittersweet expression of Peter's face.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): But I can't remember all of them.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): And we've lost touch for a long time.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): It's strange how people who were so close can become strangers now.
Checking the addresses on envelopes.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I've the wild thought to reconnect with them. However, relationships do evolve and change over time.
Taking a deep breath.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): A few has already passed away.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 23:00
Peter works before a laptop.
PETER (V.O.): Life is akin to a road, filled with twists and turns.
We see Peter staring at an AI drawing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's called "Roads of Life". At different stages of my life, I've made my choices as to which roads I should go.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The experiential learning has shaped who I'm.
