PETER is putting his swimming gear into a black carrier bag.
PETER (V.O.): I've thought about a number of things to do today.
FLASHBACK
INT. STUDY - DAY (YESTERDAY)
Smart phone in hand, Peter reads messages of a chat group.
PETER (V.O.): A chamber mate reminds colleagues to buy MARK 6 as there's a 80 million jackpot.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If he wins, he says he'll retire.
RETURN TO PRESENT
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): People long for retirement. What should I do, working in retirement?
Act 2
EXT. QUEEN'S ROAD CENTRAL - 9:50
Wearing a hat, a T-shirt, shorts and flip flops and carrying two bags, Peter sees a COUNSEL in a black suit walking toward him
PETER (V.O.): He must be going back to his chambers. We've had several encounters before.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I'm in a beachgoer outfit on a work day in Central. He wouldn't know I've just taken my wife's car lift.
They avoid eye contacts as they walk past each other.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't want to embarrass him that he knows somebody like me.
Peter walks towards a bus stop.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I've professional work to do, I dress like him too.
Peter boards a Route#6X bus.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can handle the arrangements of my professional work via the smart phone.
EXT. DEEP WATER BAY - 10:45
Climbing up the empty floating platform on the left, Peter lies flat on it.
PETER (V.O.): First time in Deep Water Bay this year! It's easy to come here by public transport.
Peter covers his face with his hands.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I drive, I like to go to Shek O Beach or Big Wave Beach.
Taking a look of the floating platform in the middle, Peter sees over half a dozen old MEN on it, chatting loudly.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Here's the old men's paradise.
Later, when Peter swims along the orange buoy boomline, a white-haired SWIMMER bumps into him.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I only expect this to happen in swimming pools.
Later, climbing up the floating platform on the left, Peter sees a young MAN cuddling a young WOMAN. The man returns a gaze at Peter.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd better swim back to the beach now.
EXT. SEAVIEW PROMENADE - 10:50
Wearing a hat, a face mask, a swimming brief and flip flogs and carrying his black bags, Peter is strolling in deep thoughts.
FLASHBACK
INT. HOME - NIGHT (SPRING, 1992)
SHARON (36) is talking to Peter (37).
SHARON: Today, my colleagues and I had a walk from Deep Water Bay to Repulse Bay.
Peter looks surprised.
SHARON (Cont'd): There's a seaview promenade linking the two bays. I think you'd like to know.
END FLASHBACK
PETER (V.O.): It's only now I'm here. I can imagine how Sharon and her colleagues enjoyed the walk.
Pausing.
PPETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was waiting for the right time for the right reasons.
Reflecting.
'PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was quite wrong, actually.
.Act 3
INT. STUDY - 20:00
Peter is checking images on his smart phone.
PETER (V.O.): I know the things that I've always wanted to do. I don't need a bucket list.
Peter stares at the one depicting the "Seaview Promenade".
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm glad that I've done the walk, checking off an item of great importance.
Checking his Hong Kong Jockey Club account on screen, Peter looks indifferent to the Mark 6 drawing result.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'll choose to do more right things timely.
