  3. INT. STUDY - 06:45


  4. In a black suit, PETER is checking papers in a file.


  5. PETER (V.O.): Working in retirement on tasks like this isn't easy and fun.


  6. Checking.


  7. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Having worked 40 years for the Govt, private practice was what I wanted to do after retiring.


  8. Checking.


  9. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I believe I've a reasonable taste of it now.


  10. Checking.


  11. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): For the past couple of months, I've been thinking of discontinuing.


  12. Taking his brief case, Peter leaves hurriedly.


  13. Act 2


  14. INT. PUBLIC AREA, COURT - 09:20


  15. Seeing an OFFICER, Peter goes to talk to him.


  16. PETER: Have you brought...


  17. PETER (V.O.): Oh, he is looking into my eyes...I see, he can't recognise me.


  18. Recalling.


  19. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): When he came up to my study days ago, I was wearing a T-shirt and shorts.


  20. Pausing.


  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday, I went to the barber...Ah, he recognises me now.


  22. The Officer passes some folders to Peter.


  23. INT. COURT ROOM - 09:25


  24. Sitting behind a bar table, Peter sees a COUNSEL appearing on his left.


  25. PETER (V.O.): He isn't a young chap.


  26. Having discussed, they sign a document. And soon, we hear: Court! and ALL stand and bow.


  27. INT. MEN'S ROOM - 16:30


  28. Standing side by side before urinals, Peter and the Counsel chat.


  29. COUNSEL: I read that you're qualified in 1985.


  30. PETER: Yes. I was with Govt.


  31. COUNSEL: Mine is a second career.


  32. PETER: I may be doing my last criminal case.


  33. INT. OPEN AREA - CONTINUOUS


  34. We see a MAN in casual wear is waiting the Counsel.


  35. PETER (V.O.): I recognise him. He was the lone audience in court.


  36. COUNSEL: Let me introduce you to my friend. He is a counsel like us.


  37. We see Peter and the man nodding.


  38. COUNSEL (Cont'd): It's also his second career.


  39. PETER: What do you do?


  40. EXT. TRAIN CAR - 17:30


  41. Crowded. Seeing a PASSENGER vacating a seat. Peter moves towards it.


  42. PETER (V.O.): I've been standing most of the day...


  43. We see a young WOMAN taking the seat.


  44. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I'm not competitive...


  45. Retreating.


  46. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): When I began private practice, it was a new challenge to me.


  47. Peter is looking tired.


  48. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I also took it as a way for my professional growth.


  49. Pausing.


  50. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I reckon I'm not and won't be making any impact in society.


  51. Act 3


  52. INT. STUDY - 23:30


  53. Peter works on his laptop.


  54. PETER (V.O.): One's second career is limited only by one's imagination and willingness to act. I was in the housing/land sector before taking up law.


  55. Pondering.


  56. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The good time for me to think about my next career move is when I don't have to.


  57. Peter inserts an AI drawing to a text on screen.


  58. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): On the creative front, I love what I do and have the passion to continue.
