Working on his laptop, PETER listens to oldies from the radio.
PETER (V.O): This has been my practice since the 1980s. Uncle Ray used to be the DJ.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): When Uncle Ray retired in his late 90s in 2021, Peter King succeeded him.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I don't know him personally, but I like his song choices and smooth delivery.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): But he hasn't been on air for weeks...Is he on a long vacation?
We hear news: Beloved radio personality Peter King has passed away at the age of 69...
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): OMG...
Act 2
INT. LAW OFFICE - 14:00
A STAFF leads Peter, a CLIENT, an INTERPRETER and a TRAINEE to a room.
STAFF: Mr Cheung, a trainee will sit in your session today.
PETER: No problem.
PETER (V.O): I learned International Protection Human Rights as early as 1980s and have been practising in the field.
Later, having finished their professional work, Peter chats with the interpreter.
PETER: I like your name, Tai Mui.
TAI MUI: You're so professional. Were you educated in UK?
PETER: Yes, Hong Kong too. I'm 70 years old.
TAI MUI: I'm 80 years old. My fellow interpreters are younger than me.
PETER: Working with you, I feel young too!
PETER (V.O.): But it's embarrassing that having just been introduced to the trainee, I forgot her name right away.
EXT. SILVERSTRAND BAY - 16:45
Peaceful scenery. Peter strolls along the beach.
PETER (V.O): Here's heaven on Earth.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Peter King, gone too soon.
Peter heads towards the water.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I’m enjoying life while I still can.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): When I can't swim in the sea anymore, I'd thank myself for doing it now.
INT. LIVING ROOM - 18:00
Opening his school bag, Peter takes out his Korean homework.
PETER (V.O): Learning Korean has become a big challenge to me.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Whan I was in my 20s, I had no problem learning Philosophy and Law.
Peter reads the questions.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): For a while now, I feel my working memory is getting worse. My recent Korean dictation exercise results evidence that.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Attending the Korean classes, I find my processing speed has declined considerably.
Pausing
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've to accept the unavoidable and irreversible changes that accompany aging.
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): After all, I'm not living in eternity.
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): What I've is the present, and it's like an ice cube melting in a hot summer day.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 21:00
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Seize the Day..." to a draft.
PETER (V.O): Life is fragile and can end unexpectedly.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I work hard and smart, but I'm not afraid to shift my priorities for a better life.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Now, I'm quick to say no to anything that doesn't truly matter to me!
