EXT. ESTATE ROADS - 19:00
Driving a silver coupe, Peter sees golden sunshine in his car's side and rear mirrors.
PETER (V.O.): The sky breaks like an egg into full sunset.
Peter stops his car by the roadside.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I love seeing sunsets.
Peter grabs his smart phone to take few sunset photos.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know sunset won't wait.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Sunsets, like childhood or any life stages, are fleeting.
Satisfied, Peter drives on.
Act 2
EXT. NT CIRCULAR ROAD - 19:10
The speedometer in Peter's car indicates 100km/h.
PETER (V.O.): It's a happy sunny Monday.
FLASHBACK
INT. STUDY - 11:00
Peter is reading some files.
PETER (V.O.): I only study case particulars a day before the meeting.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't want to waste my brain power on trifles. They often represent the misery of life.
Peter looks out of the window.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a sunny Monday. I want to go to the beach.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Last week, I was very busy, preparing for my court appearances.
EXT. GOLDEN BEACH - 12:30
Towing a cyber-green buoy, Peter is swimming from shore to one corner of the outer limit.
PETER (V.O.): It's heaven on earth. I can swim non-stop for 45 minutes.
Peter then swims along the orange buoy line to reach the corner at the other end before swimming back to where he began.
EXT/INT. PETER'S NT HOME - 14:45
Having parked his SMART car in the front garden, Peter jump-starts his red coupe in the driveway.
PETER (V.O.): I've just had a quick lunch at the lakeside restaurant. But my cars here have been struggling with their electricity reserve.
We hear engine sounds from the red coupe.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's alive again!
Peter then parks the red coupe before the front gate, leaving the engine running.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My cars need to recharge.
Sitting room, G/F. Bicycles in a corner. Peter is reading the instructions of a repair kit.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Years ago, I bought the kit in a 100 Yen store in Tokyo. Days ago, I re-discovered it.
Peter takes a look of a white bicycle with a rear flat tire.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The last time I rode on it was over 10 years ago.
FLASHBACK UPON FLASHBACK
EXT. BICYCLE REPAIR SHOP, HUNG SHUI KIU - DAY (1964)
Peter (10) is watching a REPAIRER replacing a bicycle's leaking stem valve core before inflating the tire.
PETER (V.O.): It looks easy. But where to get the core?
END FLASHBACK UPON FLASHBACK
Using a pair of pliers to take out the stem valve of the flat tire, Peter replaces the worn core with a new one from the kit.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would it work?
Using a bicycle pump to inflate the tyre, Peter touches the tire wall to feel the pressure.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It works! My first bicycle repair success after so many decades!
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 3
EXT. TOLO HIGHWAY - 19:30
The speedometer remains at 100km/h. Peter looks around the colourful landscape through the windscreen and the opened sunroof.
PETER (V.O): Sunsets manifest the colours of love.
Pausing.
.PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The way the sun kisses into the night is always amazing.
Pondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Sunset is proof that endings are often beautiful.
Peter drives off into the night.
