PETER takes a look of a manuscript in Chinese characters with chords on top of some of them.
PETER (V.O.): I've been thinking about the process in creating my anthem-like song.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I didn't sing very well. I'd sing more as it'd boost my lung function ie adding years to my life.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Copyright aside, I'd create more works to improve my life quality ie adding life to my years.
Peter picks up his smart phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Before doing that, let me capitalize on my investment.
As Peter sees a W-shaped graph in red on screen, his phone rings.
Act 2
MONTAGE OF PETER'S PHONE CONVERSATIONS
A. Answering a woman's reassuring tone, Peter says: See you tomorrow at 9:30am.
B. Reacting to man#1's confident tone, Peter says: Yes, let him have my phone no.
C. Responding to man#2's evasive tone, Peter says: I'll send you the photos of my car's damage.
END MONTAGE
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've spoken to a work colleague, a policeman and the hit-and-run man.
When Peter looks at the graph again, it has turned green.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Seizing the window of opportunity, I can edit again my investment story.
Glued to the phone screen, Peter sees "fully executed" messages from time to time.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): After investing all my idle cash on stocks months ago, I began to realize what "Cash is king" meant.
INT. JAPANESE RESTAURANT - 13:45
Peter orders a lot of stuff.
PETER (V.O.): Not only that I want to eat a variety of food, I also want to reward my judgment in salvaging my bad investment.
Checking a WhatsApp message, Peter sees an obituary.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's Ah Shui's...He's somebody in Macao... He was age 70 plus 3?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What's the point of adding 3 years to the deceased?
INT. CONSULTATION ROOM, CLINIC - 15:00
As Peter presents a chit to him, the DOCTOR looks pleasantly surprised.
DOCTOR: They're good readings. Keep it up the good work!
PETER: Thank you Doc for the encouragement.
INT. STUDY - 19:15
An iPad in hand, Peter has finished editing a video clip.
PETER (V.O.): Yesterday night, my wife and I watched a lengthy documentary in a cinema.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It was boring and time-wasting as more footage can be cut.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our life is our story. Few write well, not to mention editing.
Peter checks the time.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Although it's late, I still want to go swimming.
EXT. SWIMMING POOL - 19:30
Arriving, Peter sees no light but a notice on the collapsible gate. He goes to read it.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, the swimming pool is closing from today until late Feb. I've forgotten about it.
Turning around, Peter begins to run.
EXT. PARK - 19:45
Peter is running.
PETER (V.O.): Run, don't walk. Better still, dance with style. I miss my ballroom dancing and figure ice-skating moments.
Act 3
INT. STUDIO - 22:00
Surrounded by guitars, Peter is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.): I've persevered and I can continue to chase my dreams.
Surfing the web with his phone, Peter researches on "blood pressure, pulse and health".
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Heathy is an outfit that looks different from person to person.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The best investment I've ever made is my own health.
