PETER checks his phone diary.
PETER (V.O.): My July travel has disrupted my routine.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My immediate task is to take my Nissan 200SX for testing.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This 34-year old coupe is older than my elder son.
Reading.
PETER (To phone): Oh yes, my family has a lunch gathering with visiting relatives from UK.
Peter begins doing morning exercises.
Act 2
INT. CAR-TESTING CENTRE- 09:00
Reception. A smiling STAFF is receiving Peter and his coupe.
STAFF: I haven't seen the model for many years....
The staff checks a car registration certificate.
STAFF (Cont'd): Oh, born in 1989...and you're still keeping it.
PETER: Yes! I'm keen that it'd stay alive.
Later, at a workplace. Peter's coupe is raised. A MECHANIC talks to Peter.
MECHANIC: I want you to see the defects of your car...
We see broken dust covers of the steering system.
PETER (V.O.): Last year, they're good...
MECHANIC (Cont'd): You've to make good the defects before getting a roadworthy certificate.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've been able to solve all of its problems with money.
INT. HOTEL RESTAURANT - 14:00
Over lunch, Peter and his WIFE are chatting with RELATIVES. Later, they hear RELATIVE#1 saying :...Uncle Chi-ming has passed away...
PETER (V.O.): Oh dear...
We feel a sense of loss among those who are senior in age.
MONTAGE OF PETER'S MEMORIES OF UNCLE CHI-MING
A. A home in Tai Po, 1979. Peter (25) and SHARON (24) join Uncle Chi-ming's FAMILY in a family gathering.
B. A restaurant in Lau Fau Shan, 1983. Peter (29) and Sharon (28) and Uncle Chi-ming's family are having a seafood dinner.
C. Uncle Chi-ming's home, Wigan, 1986. Peter (32) and Sharon (31) are chatting with Uncle Chi-ming by a Christmas tree.
D. Nissan showroom, Yuen Long, 1988. Referring to a Nissan 200SX on disaplay, Peter (34) chats with a SALESMAN in the presence of Uncle Chi-ming.
E. Uncle Chi-ming's home, Weybridge, 2004. Peter's FAMILY are visiting Uncle Chi-ming's family.
F. Uncle Jimmy's home, LA, 2011. Peter's family meet up with RELATIVES including Uncle Chi-ming and his WIFE.
END MONTAGE
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Uncle Chi-ming first worked as in barber shop in UK in the early 1960s before running a successful restaurant business in Wigan.
We hear relatives talking about:...travelling more while we still can...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): With great support from his kind wife, he raised his loving family well.
We hear relatives talking about:...when one can't make it, the other one goes nowhere...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He once led a district delegation to visit Hong Kong...
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): His passing, like his late youngest brother Jimmy in US, leaves a void that I can't ignore.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm one of the few who has first-hand knowledge of their from zero-hero stories.
Sighing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To me, their can-do spirits live on.
Peter sighs again.
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 20:30
Tapping an AI drawing App in his smartphone, Peter inputs "a man in heaven".
PETER (V.O.): It's natural that individuals who were born around the same time period are passing away.
Soon, we see a colouful image appearing on the phone screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The news of Uncle Chi-ming prompts the last of us to reflect on our own lives and legacies.
After downloading the image, Peter is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I honor Uncle Chi-ming's legacies and am trying to keep my memories of him alive.
Peter publishes a blog post.
