Act 1
Working on a laptop, PETER checks the pptx contents of a USB.
PETER (V.O): I prepared these PowerPoint slides in 2018.
We see the title: Securitization and Credit Guarantee.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'm good in formulating legal policy. I've the vision and can articulate the mission.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Sharing my dream is fun but making my dream come true requires capacity and support.
Peter detaches the USB from the laptop.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): To lead change, I communicate my vision and suggest the strategy to those who may be able to help.
Grabbing a jacket, Peter exits.
Act 2
EXT. SILVERSTRAND BAY - 12:00
Car park. Depositing his jacket inside a car, Peter carries a bag and walks down to the beach.
PETER (V.O): I've just shared my dream to HKUST colleagues and cooked up a quick-win initiative.
Walking down staircases.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I love to think that the team and I are the right persons in the right place at the right time.
Staring at the bay waters afar.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My doctor son in Australia told me last Saturday that I could gently swim even if I had strained my back.
Arriving at the beach.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): He visited us online unexpectedly. Working shifts, he was adjusting his sleep pattern.
In his swimming gear, Peter enters the water.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My wife and I were so happy to see him and his girlfriend in Sydney a fortnight ago.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): They shared with us the medical process called intravenous cannulation ie using a needle and a thin tube to insert into a patient's vein.
Peter swims breaststrokes towards one of the floating platforms.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I just can't resist the impulse.
Later, we see Peter lying flat on the floating platform.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): It seems that my back pain has gone. My doctor son said it'd take a week or two. Only five days have passed.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I must give credit to my just-retired lawyer wife. She has used heat rub lotion to massage my back several times.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Earlier this morning, my doctor daughter-in-law advised that my lawyer son is feeling unwell and is resting at home.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I hope he's getting better. There's nothing lawyers can do in the circumstances.
INT. DINING ROOM - 21:00
Peter is having dinner with his WIFE.
PETER: Have you helped our visiting daughter to get the document she needs to get married in South Korea?
WIFE: Yes. We've done many other things too.
PETER: Do you know that our lawyer son is sick?
WIFE: What? Has he gone to see the doctor?
Peter smiles.
PETER (V.O): My wife has forgotten our daughter-in-law is a doctor...But she had to return to her hospital despite having a patient at home.
PETER: No, the doctor has gone to see him...
As his wife is wondering, Peter remarks.
PETER (Cont'd): His doctor father-in-law went to see him before returning to his clinic.
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): I'm so thankful of his father-in-law and have sent him a thank-you note.
WIFE: Yes, there's nothing we can do on our side.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 22:30
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "The Lawyer Who Loves Doctors" to a draft.
PETER (V.O): I prefer the medical field over the legal field. But I, my wife and my elder son can only be lawyers.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O): I love having doctors around my family, as they're able to provide immediate, effective medical care and advice.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Six to seven years ago, I had no idea that my family would have doctor members.
