Act 1
EXT. CHUNG HOM KOK - 10:30
From a Route#6X bus, PETER alights at a bus stop at a small roundabout.
PETER (V.O.): At last, I'm here.
Peter sees a directional sign: Chung Hom Kok Beach.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I drove here before; but I could neither find car parks nor see the Beach.
Walking down a quiet cul-de-sac, Peter sees a car parked at the end.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Has it been booked?
Seeing an entry point, Peter takes the steps downhill.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've been wondering what Chung Hom Kok Beach is like.
Observing the trees along the way, Peter looks excited.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Chung Hom Kok Beach is about to reveal its mystery to me.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. STUDIO - 08:45
Looking out of the window, Peter sees sunshine.
PETER (V.O.): I thought there's a good chance it might rain today.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've to work tomorrow. Shouldn't I seize the opportunity to go to a beach now?
Quickly, Peter puts his swimming gears inside a black bag.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Probably due to the colour contrast, I find it easier to spot my black bag than my red one from floating platforms.
Peter exits.
EXT. ROADS TO HONG KONG - 09:00
While his WIFE is driving, Peter researches with his smart phone.
PETER (V.O.): People say the Chung Hom Kok Beach is the best place to watch sunset. I love watching sunsets anywhere.
Pondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Perhaps, I swim in the morning, have lunch there, swim again in the afternoon, and then wait for the setting sun.
RETURN TO PRESENT
EXT. CHUNG HOM KOK BEACH - 10:45
Walking past a children's playground, Peter arrives at the beach.
PETER (V.O.) : Golden sand, blue sea and a floating platform. Beautiful!
Peter sees COUPLE#1 taking photos on the right and COUPLE#2 doing the same on the left.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's quiet and peaceful here. Apart from two lifeguard towers, I don't see any kiosk for food and beverage.
Peter sees a few TRADESMEN fixing drinking fountains. Going to a nearby shower area, Peter turns on a tap and we see water coming out.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ok, the shower facilities still work...
Peter then sees a banner: Lifeguard services suspended. Please don't swim.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Even on a Sept day as nice as this? What a mystery!
Peter stares at the two empty lifeguard towers.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Nobody's there. I'll be a lone swimmer and have to be self-reliant.
Peter takes a look of the floating platform in the swimming area.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This bay is new to me, But the water doesn't seem rough.
Calculating.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Unless I hurt myself or something hurts me, I'm confident I can manage the risk.
Leaving his black bag on the beach, Peter swims towards the floating platform and climbs up its stepladder later.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There's fish underneath.
Scratching his left leg casually, Peter sees a wound bleeding.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, it happens unexpectedly...Wow, the sounds of the breeze and the sea are rather loud and clear.
Quickly, Peter leaves the floating platform and swims back to the beach. He then takes a look of his leg wound.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The cure for anything is salt water. I've to manage my expectations and call it a day.
Act 3
EXT. CHUNG HOM KOK - 12:15
Waiting at a bus stop opposite to the one he got off earlier, Peter is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.): Any mystery generates wonder. And wonder is the basis of beings' desire to understand.
Pondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Beings are stardust brought to life. As highly intelligent ones, we should figure out the mystery of life.
A Route#6X bus is approaching.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Instead of wondering about the mystery of life, we've to experience it for real.
Peter boards the bus.
