INT. BEDROOM - 08:30
PETER wakes up.
PETER (V.O.): My main task today is to drive my elder daughter to the Airport. She's returning to Seoul.
From a bedside drawer, Peter takes out a pile of cash.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know just too well how life is like when one is short of it.
INT. DINING ROOM - 09:00
Peter's elder DAUGHTER is enjoying mushroom rice.
PETER: Yesterday's left over?
DAUGHTER: No. I bought two boxes yesterday. This is the other one. They aren't available in Seoul.
As Peter passes the pile of cash to her, her daughter says "Thank you."
PETER (V.O.): The little support I can do as Dad. She is still a student.
Act 2
EXT. PARKING BAY - 11:45
A parked Previa. Packing her daughter's baggage into the car, Peter's face is fixed with mixed emotions, subtly masked beneath a composed demeanour.
PETER: Check if your passport is with you.
DAUGHTER (having checked): Yes.
EXT. ROADS TO AIRPORT - CONTINUOUS
Inside the car, father and daughter talk with unspoken sentiments.
PETER (V.O.): We've taken many trips with this car to school. They feel like yesterday.
Talking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe she remembers the cherished moments.
EXT. AIRPORT - CONTINUOUS
Roadside. Getting out of the car, Peter goes to grab a trolley.
PETER (V.O.): I've got to do what fathers do.
Father and daughter unload the baggage and put them on the trolley.
PETER: There you go. I've got to rush to Central to attend a meeting.
Driving away, Peter takes another look of his daughter.
EXT. MTR CABIN - 14:00
Being consumed by thoughts, Peter glances at his smartphone, checking subtly incoming messages from his daughter.
PETER (V.O.): Boarding soon. Lots of Koreans...
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Like you, they've come to Hong Kong for holidays and are returning.
We see Peter typing on screen: Overhear what they say and enjoy your flight!
EXT. REPULSE BAY - 16:30
From a buoy line, Peter swims towards a floating platform.
PETER (V.O.): For the past few days, I kept my family company and didn't go swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's my first time here in the afternoon...
We follow Peter and see the beach being dotted with TOURISTS taking photos.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can't see my belongings on the beach.
Worrying.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd better swim back now to check it out.
EXT. ROADS TO CENTRAL - 17:30
Sitting on the upper deck of a full bus, Peter checks message notifications and sees: landed. His face illuminates with a delicate smile.
PETER (V.O.): She has arrived safely.
Later, Peter opens a photo message and sees his daughter's boyfriend taking care of the baggage in the Seoul Airport.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): She's surrounded by caring souls.
As some PASSENGERS sitting near Peter alight, OTHERS rush to take their window seats to take video clips.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Isn't Hong Kong a nice place?
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 21:30
Having input the prompt: "Ties That Stretch" in an AI art generator in his smartphone, Peter sees a cubist image appearing.
PETER (V.O.): Ties represent the deep connection and love between my daughter and me.
Pausing
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Despite the physical separation, our father-and-daughter relationship is strong and we've the ability to endure.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The ties that stretch is our unbreakable bond - a source of strength and support for us.
