Act 1
INT. LIVING ROOM - 15:15
Filled with memorabilia. The TV is on. PETER talks to his WIFE.
PETER: The film "Echoes of the Rainbow (歲月神偷)" will be shown on TV tonight. Should we watch it?
Pressing a remote control, Peter's wife checks the TV programmes.
WIFE: The broadcast won't end until 11pm. We've to greet our younger daughter at the Airport by then.
His wife searches the Disney Channel and couldn't find the film.
WIFE (Cont'd): When it was first released, we watched the film in cinema.
PETER: Did we? The film title is particularly catchy to me now.
Searching YouTube, Peter finds the full moivie. Soon, the movie unfolds on the TV screen. We hear a band singing: Five, four, three, two, one...We'll be dancing on the moon...
PETER (V.O): Yesterday, I was hooked by the melody in a TV advert. I first listened to the 1963 version when I was nine years old.
Act 2

A shoe-buying scene on screen.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I can still remember the vivid moments when I walked barefoot from Tin Sum to Hung Shui Kiu.
A barber shop scene. A babar is blowing a boy's hair.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The scene depicts the look and feel fully. I was fearful of the heat from the blower.
Then, we hear a character singing: I wanna be free...
PETER (Singing):... like the bluebirds flying by me, like the waves out on the blue sea, if your love has to tie me, don't try me, say goodbye...
Then, we see a fish-tank scene.
PETER: Are those southern platyfish?
WIFE: No, they don't have pointed fins...
PETER: Only the males have them...I raised some.
Then, a scene on cinema-going.
PETER (V.O): In those days, it's possible to admit three persons with two tickets...and I'd bring my younger brother.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): We watched the cheap 5:30pm show of coloured movies. But the cinemas we went smelt like toilets.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): An auntie took me to a decent one to see a black and white film "The Magic Cup (夜光杯)" . After viewing, I remarked that I 'd like Law Yim-hing (羅艷卿) to be my wife.
Then, a scene on keeping celebrity cards.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Yes, I bought chewing gums to collect those cards. But I wasn't able to exchange any gift eg a basket ball with them.
Then, we see the young characters carrying "PanAm" bags.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Those were trendy "school" bags. I carried one too.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My Dad got paid on the 5th day of the month. I felt embarrassed every time the classmaster asked me when I could settle the school fees.

Then, a typhoon scene.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I feared typhoons as they could blow roofs away.
Then, a hospital scene.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I tried to do a somersault at home but my head hit the floor. While being hospitalized, I learned some children patients had to treat the ward as their home.
Then, a cemetery scene.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): When my maternal grandfather died, my Dad made the tombstone and we took it to Chai Wan by bus.
Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - 19:00
Peter inserts an AI drawing titled: "Timeless Frames..." to a draft on his laptop.
PETER (V.O): Memories are the timeless frames of my life, capturing moments that never fade.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The older I get, the more I see life as a series of timeless frames - each one a story, each one a lesson.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Time moves forward, but the timelese frames remain - reminders of what I've loved, lost and lived.
