Act 1
EXT. TURTLE COVE BAY - 14:45
Getting off at a bus stop, PETER sees the "Turtle Cove Bay" sign.
PETER (V.O.): First time here.
Following the cue, Peter walks downhill.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When my son was studying at Stanley, I drove past this stretch of Tai Tam Road numerous times.
Peter captures images of a nearby stream.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Water is the driving force of nature.
Soon, Peter sees a small beach, an empty floating platform, two SWIMMERS in the swimming area, two SUNBATHERS and a notice: Lifeguard services have been suspended.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The seawater looks calm and I've my buoy with me.
After putting his red bag on the sand, Peter, in a red swimming brief, dark goggles, and with a cyber-green buoy, enters the swimming area.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I must conquer the empty floating platform.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. STUDY - DAY (WEEKS AGO)
Smart phone in hand, Peter is reading texts on screen
PETER (V.O.): "Thalassotherapy" is the use of seawater as a form of therapy. The Greek word "thalassa" means "sea".
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Seawater contains minerals such as sodium chloride, magnesium, zinc, iron and potassium. They help absorb toxins and reduce inflammation, leaving the skin fresh and vibrant.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Seawater activates the body's healing mechanisms such as preventing infection and easing pain.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Seawater helps release stress, relax muscles, and promote deep sleep - a natural medicine.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While swimming can trigger the release of dopamine and serotonin, the neurotransmitters that make me happy, sea swimming has more benefits than swimming in pools!
END FLASHBACK
Grabbing the floating platform's ladder, Peter submerges his head in water to check the small fish nearby.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're so carefree.
Peter tries to touch them but without success.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But the encounter is a good substitute for snorkeling.
Having climbed up onto the empty floating platform, Peter lies flat with the buoy by his side. He uses his hands to shield his face from the bright sunshine.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Sky above, sea below, peace within - heaven on earth!
Later, Peter stares at the torpedo floats at the outer limit of the swimming area.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've never swum close to shark nets. I should try now.
Leaving the floating platform, Peter swims towards the shark net and sees the mesh under water.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There are no giant net holes. Only small fish can pass through. Pretty safe for swimmers here.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Cruisers boats can only anchor outside the swimming area. And water sports are done in the open sea.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've done that before. I haven't thought deep about possible shark attacks. Anyhow.
Having returned to the floating platform, Peter lies flat on it again, placing his buoy near him.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, I can use my buoy to block the bright sunshine.
As he uses his buoy as a shield, Peter sees only cyber-green and blue.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My favourite colours colour my world now.
After laser-focusing on his red bag on the beach, Peter sees the faraway digital clock displaying: 16:15.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Well, I've stayed here for over an hour. I've never had such an exclusive use of a floating platform on a Friday afternoon.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I should have come here a long long time ago!
Act 3
EXT. TURTLE COVE BAY - 16:45
Swimming back to the beach, Peter brushes off the sand on his feet and then takes a shower.
PETER (V.O.): Seawater and swimming are good for my health and wellness. Still I've to wash off the salt.
Peter takes a look of his skin.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I expose to the sun often, but the tan will also fade.
Peter finds the exit.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Knowing what the Turtle Cove Bay is like now, I'd come more often.
Carrying his red bag and walking uphill, Peter turns his head to have another look of the sea.
LPETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm deeply in love with the vitamin sea.
