EXT. ROADS TO AIRPORT - 11:45
In a blue MB, PETER is driving his elder DAUGHTER and her BOYFRIEND.
PETER (V.O.): My wife and I couldn't wait to visit them in Seoul last month.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our elder daughter seized the term-break opportunity in Feb to return home for the first time in over three years.
We hear conversations in Japanese.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In Autumn 2019, she went to Fukuoka to learn Japanese alone.
Peter takes a look of the rear mirror.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Their hearts brought them together initially there and then in Seoul.
We continue to hear exchanges.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I like the end of missing someone.
Act 2
INT. AIRPORT DEPARTURE HALL - 12:30
As he enters the restricted area, the boyfriend waves goodbye to Peter and his elder daughter several times.
PETER (V.O.): He has to go back to work after taking a Friday and a Monday off.
DAUGHTER: My Korean language classmate from Hokkaido has texted me that she boarded the flight.
PETER: What's her name?
DAUGHTER: Honoka.
PETER (V.O.): My elder daughter is smart. Honoka is taking the same flight that flew her and her boyfriend in last Friday.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Her boyfriend will board the same flight back to Seoul.
PETER: We should be able to pick her up at the arrival hall around 13:45. Let's eat something while we wait.
DAUGHTER: Some restaurants in Terminal 1 look good.
PETER: As we've time, perhaps we should go to Terminal 2 to explore the options first.
DAUGHTER: How come I can't see any Terminal 2 signages?
PETER: Don't worry. I know the way. I flew flights departing from Terminal 2.
Later, they arrive at a blocked junction.
ALL: Oh, Terminal 2 is closed. No wonder! But Terminal 3 is being constructed!
They return to Terminal 1.
INT. JAPANESE NOODLE SHOP - 12:45
Peter and his elder daughter order Ramen.
DAUGHTER: I haven't had ramen for a long time.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, I've forgotten she isn't working in Tokyo anymore.
INT. WAITING AREA - 13:25
Peter and his elder daughter sit near an electronic art.
PETER (V.O.): It's good to see the hustle and bustle of the Airport again.
Peter watches people heading here and there.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Apart from users, there're service providers.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Today, we're playing host again. Honoka wants to see Kaji.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Honoka wanted to raise a Shiba Inu in Hokkaido but circumstances weren't permitting.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Kaji was primarily our elder daughter's pet. I never say no to my daughters.
DAUGHTER: Honoka is now at the baggage reclaim area.
PETER: Let's go to the exit point to greet her. How to say "Welcome to Hong Kong" in Japanese?
DAUGHTER: Honkon e yokoso...
PETER: Honkon e...
Act 3
EXT. ROADS FROM AIRPORT - 13: 45
Peter is driving her elder daughter and Honoka.
PETER (V.O.): Since last Friday, my family have been very busy playing host to guests visiting Hong Kong.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We're so glad that they'd visit us. May all our guests leave as dearer and closer ones.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We look forward to receiving more particularly in Winter this year.
Smiling.
