Act 1
INT. STUDY - 12:00
Seeing an incoming WhatsApp message, PETER checks it and sees a snowy image.
PETER (V.O.): What a splendid view of the Seoul National University. I've heard so much about it but have never been there.
Peter types his response on screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It must be very cold there.
Peter sees another response on screen: Must remember to keep warm.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's from my wife.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):Parenting is saying the old things over and over again.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If I lead by example, I shouldn't swim in the sea on a cold day.
Act 2
EXT. TAI YUK ROAD, YUEN LONG - 13:15
Car park. Arriving in a red coupe, Peter sees a premises nearby is closed for renovation.
PETER (V.O.): But I've checked that the Yuen Long Public Swimming Pool is open today.
Peter puts his hand in cheek.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, that's actually the Yuen Long Stadium.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In 1966, my family contributed $2 for its construction.
Checking a building nearby, we see the name "Yuen Long District Sports Association".
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Has the swimming pool been relocated inside it?
Peter checks further behind and sees the Yuen Long public swimming pool.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's it. I was here once.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That was 40 years ago when I finished sitting a year's Law exams.
EXT. YUEN LONG PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL - 14:00
Peter appears in the men's changing room.
PETER (V.O.): It's so roomy.
Later, Peter enters the open-air standard pool. There're about a dozen SWIMMERS.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The last time, I could only swim the breast strokes.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Is the pool a heated one?
Peter enters the pool.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, it is.
MONTAGE
A. Snow-covered hot spring. Peter and his SONS are bathing in public.
B. Snow-covered hot spring. Peter and his WIFE are bathing in private.
END MONTAGE
In addition to breast strokes, Peter swims free style, backstrokes and butterfly style.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There's no snow and the water isn't hot. It's a cheap substitute when compared to those in 5-star hotels in Macau.
Having swum non-stop for over 30 minutes, Peter leaves.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me take a roundabout way to have a look of the Yuen Long today.
INT. NOODLE SHOP - 15:00
Peter is having Wanton noodles.
PETER (V.O.): Not bad. A bit pricy. In 1970, it costed 30-50 cents.
EXT. HEUNG YEE KUK SEC SCHOOL - 15:30
Peter is capturing photos of it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Lots of memories. Some hurt me as hell.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 22:00
Smart phone in hand, Peter takes a look of the snowy image.
PETER (V.O.): When it snows, I believe our elder daughter can't wait to get home.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Home, especially the one in Hong Kong, is a good place to stay.
Checking other images.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I wish I could go back in time, not to change anything, but to feel something warm again.
