  5. Waiting area. PETER talks to a RECEPTIONIST.


  6. PETER: You know I've had a reservation.


  7. RECEPTIONIST: Your guests haven't arrived yet. Just wait.


  8. Later, Peter's GUESTS begin to join him.


  9. RECEPTIONIST: Let me take you all to a nice table.


  10. PETER: Wait...


  11. PETER (V.O.): The most important guest hasn't arrived yet.


  12. As a young LADY appears quietly, Peter looks ecstatic.


  13. END DREAM SEQUENCE


  14. Act 2


  15. INT. BEDROOM - 08:15


  16. Peter wakes up.


  17. PETER (V.O.): I've had an immersive dream. I wasn't just observing it.


  18. Pausing.


  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I felt fully present and engaged within the dream environment.

  20. Pausing.


  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My dream was incredibly detailed and highly realistic.


  22. Pausing.


  23. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel so joyful and energized.


  24. MONTAGE OF PETER'S ACVITIVIES THE NIGHT BEFORE


  25. A. Studio. Peter plays "A Summer Place" on piano repeatedly.


  26. B. Restaurant. Peter and FAMILY are having a seafood meal.


  27. C. Home. Peter and family are discussing something important.


  28. D. Later, Peter sends a WhatsApp message to a chatgroup.

  30. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe dreams help dreamers process memories and work through unresolved emotional issues.


  31. Pausing.


  32. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I find the level of sensory richness is difficult to replicate in waking life.


  33. Pausing.


  34. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is particularly so about the sense of presence and connection with the dream character.

  36. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Who can draw or paint a dream, not to mention an immersive one?

  38. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Further, not all immersive dream experience are positive. Dreamers may feel anxious or depressed when morning comes.


  39. INT. STUDIO - 10:00


  40. Having responded to WhatsApp messages happily, Peter plays "A Summer Place" on piano again and again.


  41. PETER (V.O.): As an amateur, I just want to play this single musical piece on piano very well.


  42. Pausing.


  43. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The only time this musical piece was performing live to me was in the Summer of 1974.


  44. Practising.


  45. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since last Nov, I've been learning via a free online tutorial how to play this musical piece on piano.


  46. Practising.


  47. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know there's room for improvement on my accuracy, expression and musicality.


  48. Practising.


  49. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Meanwhile, I've derived pleasure in detecting the inconsistent fingerings of the online tutor!

  51. INT. BEDROOM - 23:00


  52. Peter works on his laptop.


  53. PETER (V.O.): Immersive dreams are the strong desires of the dreamer's subconscious thoughts and feelings.


  54. Pausing.


  55. PETER (V.O.): Dreams needn't be what dreamers leave behind when morning comes. They can fill dreamers' every living moment.

  56. Peter stares at an AI drawing on his smartphone.


  57. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Now, I can use my AI drawing to illustrate what I wanted to dream on.


  58. Daydreaming.
