Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To swim in the open-air Yuen Long Public Swimming Pool is a good substitute.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I had a brief visit of Yuen Long last week and I want to go again now.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I'll take public transport again, as I can see the surroundings and not just the roads ahead.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Let me explore further how Yuen Long has changed over time.
Act 2

Standing by the door of a moving bus, Peter checks the next stops on a digital display.
PETER (V.O.): The next stop is Yuen Long Police Station, and then Shui Pin Tsuen...
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): The Public Swimming Pool is closer to the Police Station...
After getting off, Peter stares at the departing bus.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I don't know if the bus would stop at the same Shui Pin Tsuen stop opposite to Shung Tak College.
Peter walks along Tai Yuk Road.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): From 1966 to 1971, I used to wait at that bus stop hoping a bus would stop so that I might get on board.
Walking past the entrance of the Police Station on his left.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): In 1976, I drove in once to settle a traffic accident. I bumped into a car that braked abruptly.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Prosecuting on fiat now, I've done many traffic cases too.
We see Yuen Long Town Hall on Peter' right.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): It looks the same. During my matriculation years from 1971-1973, I read here whenever possible.
Stopping at Heung Yee Kuk School, Peter sees a STUDENT in school uniform walking past.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Is that the Heung Yee Kuk uniform? I can't tell now.
Arriving at the Yuen Long Swimming Pool, Peter notices an old MAN staring at him.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): When I was in my teens, I wanted people to like me. Now, I'm thinking if I like him.
Swimming pool. We see Peter pausing so that he wouldn't bump into another SWIMMER.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Swimming in the sea, I don't have to face such a problem.
Later, Peter walks past a row of shops at Kau Yuk Road.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): It appears that the shop that I used to buy car spare parts from 1976-1980 is still operating.
Peter takes a look of the STAFF inside.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Young guys...
At the junction between Fung Ning Road and Castle Peak Road, Peter stares at a closed corner premises with signs "To let".

END MONTAGE
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): The sights then were much better than now.
Walking past the Hong Kong Jockey Club at Castle Peak Road, Peter observes the activities inside.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): From 1976-1980, I placed my Mark Six bets as well as my Dad's here.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): My Dad dreamt of the winning numbers 1,3, 6, 8,10, 30 of a draw, but knew not when. Betting on every draw, he won a small third price in the end.
Sighing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I wish he was still around now.

PETER (V.O): Over time, Yuen Long has undergone a lot of transformation, particularly the rail systems.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): While the bookshop where I bought my first guitar, the restaurants where I had lunch, and the hawker noodle stalls were all gone, they remain intact in my memory.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Via nostalgia, my life now is enriched by a series of "thens".
